An evening with the hon. Julia Gillard

In July 2015, the Young AICC hosted former Prime Minister, the hon. Julia Gillard for a special evening to discuss her life, her legacy, the importance of education, women in leadership and her impressions of Israel as a a special country that emphasizes innovation and education based on her three trips there.

Tickets to this event sold out in 24 hours as over one hundred young professionals clambered to their seats at Arnold Bloch Leibler to see the hon. former PM.

YAICC Committee Member Shlomit Raz quizzed Gillard on a range of topics, from leading the country from 2010 - 2015, Israel, sexism, and her role as chancellor of global online education consultancy, Ducere.

Gillard commended Israel's innovative culture and emphasis on education, which she said she had admired during each of her visits to the country.
