An evening with coca-cola amatil group managing director, alison watkins

Monday April 15, 2019

On Monday 15 April, we hosted a sell-out event with Alison Watkins, Group MD of Coca-Cola Amatil.

Alison openly shared the challenges of leading companies, the importance of having good bosses to support you, and what skills it took to climb the ladder of ASX-listed companies and bring other women with her.

Alison Watkins has literally done it all.

Prior to joining Coca-Cola Amatil, her roles included:

- CEO of GrainCorp Limited,
- CEO of Berri Limited,
- Managing Director of Regional Banking at ANZ, and
- Spent 10 years at McKinsey & Company, where she became a partner of the firm.

Alison has been a Non-Executive Director of Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Ltd, Woolworths Ltd, and Just Group Ltd, and is a former Victorian President and National Board Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

donation

For each of our events, we ask our speaker to select a charity that’s important to them and we donate 50% of ticket proceeds to that cause. Through this tradition, the Young AICC has raised over $100,000 for diverse and meaningful charities, since 2010.

Tonight, Alison has selected First Hand Solutions, a small charity that specialises in finding hands-on solutions to key issues faced by Aboriginal people and communities, including connecting at-risk urban Indigenous youth with culture and country.

I am proud to announce that a donation will be made to this important cause in Alison’s name
