fintech and innovation trade mission to israel

june 23-27 2019

On June 23 – 27, the Young AICC ran a trade mission for 10 Australian emerging leaders in fintech, led by Charlotte Petris.

Charlotte is Co-founder + CEO of Timelio, Australia’s leading invoice and supply chain finance platform, and sits on the Australian Federal Government’s FinTech Advisory Board.

The delegation included emerging leaders across the spectrum of the fintech ecosystem, including founders, investors, and advisors.

The delegates had the opportunity to connect and collaborate with other young Israeli entrepreneurs and learn about new technologies and innovations coming from Israel, including blockchain, cryptocurrency, cyber security and payment fraud, AI, P2P platforms, etc.

Each day was filled with group visits to companies as well as individual meetings curated specifically for each individual’s goals. Commercial partnerships were already underway while on the ground in Israel, with several meetings leading to more discussions over the week.

On the final day of the trade mission, we joined 1700 people from 30 countries at FinTech Junction, Israel’s largest and leading international fintech conference. The Young AICC organised for two of our delegates to present at the conference: Charlotte Petris, Founder and CEO of Timelio, and Kian Jackson, General Manager of SecurePay Group, Australia Post.
