As the young division of the AICC, the YAICC is focused on celebrating and exposing Australia’s emerging business leaders to Israel’s culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.
With an office in Tel-Aviv and a strong network of business contacts in Israel, the YAICC and AICC help foster relationships and collaboration between Australian and Israeli business, Government and academic institutions. With the Australian start-up ecosystem beginning to flourish and with Israel leading the world in the fields of cyber security, water preservation, and agriculture technology, the YAICC has an integral role to play in the upcoming business landscape in Australia.
Israel’s dynamic tech startup scene is no secret. The country has been called the “start-up nation” for years and, today, only the U.S. and China have more companies listed on the NASDAQ than Israel’s 90 – worth a total of $40 billion. Innovation in Israel continues at a startling pace and a new crop of Israeli tech startups are on their way up, transforming healthcare, entertainment, finance, media and a myriad of other industries.
Australia has already recognised it can learn a lot from Israel. In recent times there have been investments into Israel’s vibrant startup scene with Square Peg Capital establishing an office in Tel Aviv to source opportunities and crowd funders OurCrowd and iAngeles all attracting significant Australian Investments. The Federal government’s recently announced Global Innovation Policy chose Tel Aviv as one of 5 international landing pad destinations worldwide identifying Tel Aviv as a global innovation hotspot.
Our vision is that our emerging Australian business leaders will connect with all that Israel has to offer to the benefit of both countries.
