6 - 9pm, cisco melbourne

Hear inspiring stories of invention and innovation from two of Israel's biggest leaders in technology as they join us via live stream at Cisco to deliver TED-style talks direct from Israel.

The talks will be followed by a pitch night, where shortlisted entrepreneurs will pitch their Startups to an eminent judging panel and the winning entrepreneur will be awarded with a place on a fully-funded, tailored trip to Israel with the Australia Israel-Chamber of Commerce, valued at over $10,000.

This will give one Startup the chance to spend a week in Israel to tap into the culture of the Start Up Nation and draw on the Chamber’s unparalleled connections to make life-changing partnerships on the ground.

THE winning prize

MELT's winning Startup will be awarded one place for one member of its team to attend a fully-funded trip on a trade mission to Israel.

The Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce "Tech Trends of the Future" Trade Mission to Israel will take place from May 4 – 10, 2018 in partnership with Friends of Tel Aviv University.

The mission will explore the latest developments in technology including artificial intelligence, machine learning, cyber-security, cloud computing, augmented reality and digital media.  The visit will provide exposure to the unique culture and capabilities that continue to make Israel a front-runner in global innovation and entrepreneurial success and will include presentations by Tel Aviv University on entrepreneurship and innovation.

The delegation will be led by Cliff Rosenberg, former Managing Director of LinkedIn Australia/New Zealand and South-East Asia.  Cliff is currently an active investor, advisor and board member, with Non-Executive Directorships.

The visit will provide delegates with an opportunity to explore a “start-up nation” firsthand, to learn how Israel is creating a technology ecosystem, and to meet some of the leading technologists and entrepreneurs in the world.

The Chamber will tailor the trade mission to best maximize the needs and interests of the winning Startup.

NOTE: Only one member of the winning team will be able to attend the trip to Israel. This person must be between the age of 25-40 and have never been to Israel before. Applicants must commit to attending the trip on the dates specified.
